The Cuban Company of Airports and Airport Services (ECASA) informed the schedule of connections for the month of September of the company InterCaribbean between Jamaica and the International Airport “Antonio Maceo” of Santiago de Cuba.

According to this report, InterCaribbean does not present variations for the month of September from Kingston (Jamaica) to Santiago, in eastern Cuba. It will operate on Wednesdays 8 and 22. Arriving in Santiago de Cuba at 6:45 pm and returning to Jamaica the following day, Thursday 9 and 23, with a schedule of 8:45 am.

The fast growing regional airline based in the Turks and Caicos Islands, InterCaribbean Airways, is expanding in the Caribbean region and this time offers a new service to the island of St. Vincent, but from Barbados. InterCaribbean will operate Embraer 120 aircraft on these flights.

These connections are part of a wider expansion for InterCaribbean at Barbados’ Grantley Adams International Airport that also includes new service to Grenada, Dominica and St. Lucia, helping to fill the void of the defunct regional airline, LIAT. InterCaribbean currently serves 27 cities in the Greater Caribbean region.

Trevor Sadler, CEO of InterCaribbean Airways, said, “The launch of this double daily service between St. Lucia and Barbados is a direct response to our growth plans stemming from LIAT’s current challenges. The airline business is about providing a service that our customers want and this flight is a welcome addition to our network to meet their needs.”

Initially, two 30-seat Embraer 120 aircraft will be based in Barbados, with two additional aircraft to follow. InterCaribbean Airways will offer daily air service from St. Lucia to Barbados, as well as once-daily service from Dominica and 10 weekly flights from Grenada. Discussions are also underway for the addition of services from Barbados’ main source markets in the region, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana.
