The Havana Water Company reported this lunes about multiple interruptions and restorations in the pumping service in different municipalities of the capital, due to technical and electrical causes.
Power outages
The Peñalver water supply system in Guanabacoa was out of service yesterday at 4:00 p.m. due to power outages. Later, at 11:00 p.m., the same occurred at Cotorro 3, which will affect the Magdalena and Águila Hatuey neighborhoods.
Pumping was also interrupted from unit 2 of the Ariguanabo fountain starting at 2:00 a.m. The impacted areas include neighborhoods in La Lisa, Playa, and Marianao, including San Agustín, Versalles, La Coronela, Atabey, and part of Cubanacán.
Stoppages for work on the drivers
Starting at 6:00 a.m., three water supply sources in the Boyeros municipality suspended service to eliminate leaks in the 24-inch pipeline. Those affected were Lugardita, Iola, and Eduardo García Delgado.
This has limited the supply in the Lutgardita, Mulgoba, Guadalupe, Villanueva, Lídice, Nueva Aurora and Mulgoba Viejo districts.
Mechanical breakdowns in Cuatro Camino
Starting at 9:00 p.m., the Cuatro Camino water source stopped pumping due to mechanical failures. Areas of Guanabacoa (La Jata, Naranjo, La Lima, Refugio, Repollo, Ricabal, Escala, and Fuente Blanca), East Havana (Guiteras, Vía Túnel, and Cojímar Parte Alta), and parts of Cotorro will be affected.
Partial resets
Despite the damage, the company reported that pumping was restored at several points. The Peñalver fountain resumed operations at 7:00 p.m., as did Pedro Pi. Service was also restored at the Leopoldito fountain at 2:00 p.m.
Cleaning the nets in Revolution Square
Yesterday, brigades from the Western Sanitation Base used high-pressure water vehicles to clear blockages on C Street between 15th and 17th Streets, as well as on Carlos M. de Céspedes and Zapata Streets, both in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality.
Aguas de La Habana apologized on its social media for the inconvenience caused and noted that these actions seek to "guarantee the stability and quality of service in the capital."

But then there isn't and won't be any water in the entire city, in addition to gas and electricity, in short, a complete collapse. And La Lisa has been a mess for two weeks, having water is something we're distinguishing ourselves from.
In the Tamarindo neighborhood of Arroyo Naranjo, the water is turned on every three days from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., with very low pressure and the taps are not turned on regularly at 6 a.m., fluctuating between 8 and 9 a.m., and sometimes they don't turn it on. However, there are many leaks around our blocks and they turn it on every day.
