Work in Miami? American Airlines, considered the largest operator of flights between the United States and Cuba, announced it plans to hire several hundred new employees in Miami.
According to a statement issued by the airline, the seats are intended to cover approximately 600 reservations positions and 100 customer service positions, all at Miami International Airport (MIA).

The starting wage is $13.05 per hour during training, although they will receive pay raises based on their contract and after one year of employment.
Airline officials specified that "benefits begin on the employee's first day of training and include medical and dental insurance, a savings plan, and flight privileges, allowing them to fly standby to any destination American flies to."
American Airlines has already offered more than 12 jobs in Miami, making it the third-largest private employer in South Florida. It is also one of the most profitable airlines in Miami, with 335 daily flights to more than 140 destinations.
