Cubana de Aviación updates information on baggage allowances on domestic flights

Specialists from the national airline Cubana de Aviación reported on baggage allowances and other updates on domestic flights. More details will follow immediately.

From the Telegram channels of several Cuban airports, they detailed that if you are planning a trip on domestic routes, it is essential that you take into account the updated policies on allowed luggage of Cubana de Aviación, the company that handles these links. 

According to updated information shared This Friday, as for hand luggage, each passenger is allowed one piece of luggage weighing up to 5 kilograms.

The maximum permitted dimensions for this suitcase or cabin bag must not exceed 115 linear centimeters.

"It's important to ensure your luggage meets these specifications to avoid additional charges or problems when boarding," they point out.

Regarding checked baggage, one piece will be allowed, with a maximum weight of 23 kilograms and dimensions no larger than 158 linear centimeters. If you need to carry more than one piece, please note that after the second piece, it is considered excess baggage.

Excess baggage will only be accepted if the aircraft's capacity permits, and will be subject to an additional charge based on the established rate per kilogram for each route.

Likewise, if the single checked item weighs more than 23 kilograms, an additional charge will also apply, provided the total weight does not exceed 30 kilograms. Any baggage exceeding 30 kilograms or with irregular characteristics must be handled as air cargo.

This week, in addition to baggage allowances on domestic flights, Cubana de Aviación announced several schedule and calendar changes on its local routes.

For example, from Havana to the provinces, the flights were as follows: Havana – Holguín: LuneWednesday (8:30 pm), Havana – Camagüey: Tuesday (8:05 am), Havana – Gerona: Tuesday and Thursday (10:30 am) and Havana – Santiago de Cuba: Tuesday (2:30 pm, 10:50 pm) / Thursday (10:00 pm).
