More flights to Nicaragua: Avianca launches these routes starting in May

Colombian airline Avianca is expanding its connectivity: new flights to Nicaragua will begin this May and will be offered from this airport.

Avianca announced the start of operations of two new routes that will connect Managua Nicaragua) within Fort Lauderdale (Florida) y San Jose Costa Rica) from And May 10 11respectively.

The new route to Fort Lauderdale, known as the "Venice of America", will feature daily flights, providing passengers with greater flexibility and access to this important Florida city.

For its part, the connection with San Jose will operate with four weekly frequencies, facilitating travel between Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

The flights will be operated in modern Airbus A320 with capacity for 180 passengers, which will allow to add more than 3.900 new weekly seats between these destinations.

Boosting tourism and business in Nicaragua

Rolando Damas, Avianca's Sales Director for North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Europe, highlighted the importance of this expansion:

“We are very excited to be able to expand the connectivity options for our customers in NicaraguaThese new routes will open up opportunities for the tourism and business, allowing more travelers to discover the richness of the Central American country," he said, according to the press agency Europe Press.

With these new flights of Avianca to Nicaragua, its presence in the region is strengthened and adds a total of four direct routes to and from Managua, connecting with San Salvador, Miami, San Jose, and Fort Lauderdale.

Avianca also currently flies to Havana, but only from Bogotá. However, this expansion of the Colombian airline's connections could boost demand for flights from the island to Managua's Sandino Airport.

After a three-year hiatus, the Colombian airline Avianca resumed On December 16, its operations to Cuba began, landing at Havana's José Martí International Airport with an Airbus A320 from the coffee-growing capital.
