Transfermóvil, the mobile app for online commerce in Cuba, has updated its service to allow users to request new magnetic cards when they are damaged or lost. More details to follow.
If you have lost your magnetic card or it is damaged, the application updated from its channel Telegram, that from the "comfort of your home and without long lines", you can Request a new magnetic card using the Transfermóvil application, available for users of BPA (Popular Savings), BANDEC (Credit and Commerce) and Metropolitano (Havana users only).
According to information published on May 5, the process is "fast, secure, and very simple. You just need to have the app installed on your mobile device and follow these steps:
The first thing is that you authenticate yourself in your bank from the Transfermóvil application using your usual credentials. Once inside, go to the menu "Configuration" and select the corresponding option, depending on your bank:
Reprint Card (for users of the Popular Savings Bank – BPA)
Network Card Reprint (for customers of the Bank of Credit and Commerce – BANDEC)
Reprinting of Magnetic Cards (if you use the Metropolitan Bank)
Then you must complete the fields requested by the system, making sure you enter all the information correctly. Finally, you must press the button "To accept" and you will have submitted your application.

If I reprint my card, can I continue using the transfermovil service to make payments? Or is my card frozen until I physically receive it?
Within what period should cards be collected from banks after reprinting?
It is a service that should work for the entire country, not just for Havana.
Well, it lets me see the latest transactions on the classic card, but when I ask to see the balance it tells me it's at zero. It's not really working for me yet.
