Notice from the Consulate General of Spain in Havana regarding the suspension of appointments and other services

The Spanish Consulate General in Havana has announced the closure of its facilities to the public starting this Wednesday.

The Spanish consulate maintains that due to the imminent arrival of Hurricane Rafael, the appointments scheduled for various purposes on November 6 have been canceled.

The preventive measure seeks to reduce risks and guarantee the safety of both consular staff and Spanish citizens in Cuba.

Rescheduling appointments

Consulate officials reported that all appointments scheduled for that day will be rescheduled, and those affected will receive timely notifications with the new dates and times.

Those with pending appointments are advised to monitor the consulate's official channels for any related updates.

Despite the suspension of normal activities, the consulate maintains its emergency services for Spanish citizens in urgent situations.

The consular emergency telephone line, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, will remain operational. Its purpose is to provide assistance during this contingency period. Citizens requiring immediate assistance can contact this line for support.

With this action, the Consulate General of Spain in Havana reaffirms its commitment to the safety of its citizens. It aligns itself with the recommendations of the Cuban authorities in light of the imminent arrival of Tropical Cyclone Rafael.

The measure will allow the consulate to focus on emergencies and keep the Spanish community in the country informed of any changes in the climate situation.

The consulate advises Spaniards in Cuba to follow local recommendations and remain in safe locations until weather conditions improve.
