Authorities have confirmed in recent hours that part of the basic food basket of rice will be free, thanks to a donation from the Asian nation to Cuba.
Two pounds of the grain will be delivered free to consumers, according to the Ministry of Domestic Trade (MINCIN). The remainder will be sold at the regular price.
Rice, one of the staple foods in the Cuban diet, will be partially distributed free of charge this month, according to the Ministry of Domestic Trade (MINCIN).
