Banco Metropolitano issued a warning to its customers about a temporary change that will partially affect the operations of several of its branches in the capital.

According to the bank, due to maintenance work and technological improvements, bank branches located in the municipalities of Playa, Plaza de la Revolución, Centro Habana, Old Havana, Regla, Guanabacoa, Cerro, Marianao, La Lisa, and Boyeros will only be open to the public on Friday, April 25, until 12:00 noon.

Additionally, on Saturday, April 26, these same branches will only be open for cash deposits and withdrawals using the QR code, with no other in-person services available.

The bank assured that electronic payment channels, such as Transfermóvil, EnZona, ATMs, Telebanca, and point-of-sale (POS) terminals, will continue to operate normally throughout the period.

The remaining bank branches in Havana will operate their regular hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., without interruption.

Banco Metropolitano apologized for any inconvenience these measures may cause its users.

  3. There are thousands of people waiting for birth registration, many of them have been waiting for a year without putting it in the system and claiming it, and on top of that, the blackouts should be taken into consideration with Cuba and given a further extension.

  4. It's all a story! There's no greater sadness than paying pensions and salaries at banks, with no budget, lines that last up to three hours, and seniors fainting like dominoes! What's happening is so sad, after the pittance they pay.
