The Cuban government will have another hotel ready to reopen for the upcoming peak tourist season. It's the Valentín Cayo Cruz, located on the northern keys of Camagüey province. Starting November 1st, this facility, one of three currently existing in the area, will be ready to receive foreign visitors. Authorities plan to carry out a massive tourism project in the coming years, with approximately 20 rooms.
Alexei Torres, Marketing Director of the Spanish group Iberostar in Cuba, said that 90 percent of the company's infrastructure on the island is already ready, all in preparation for the upcoming high season.
The Valentín Cayo Cruz is one of the new additions the Spanish chain offers to its catalog of tourist deals in the Caribbean nation.
The Valentin Cayo Cruz hotel website describes it as “an all-inclusive adults-only resort (18+)… just 60 minutes from Cayo Coco International Airport. Located on the oceanfront, this 5-star resort features a contemporary and elegant Caribbean style and is equipped with modern facilities, including pools, restaurants, bars, and relaxation areas.”
Looking for tourists for hotels in Cuba
Radio Cadena Agramonte reported that the reopening of the Valentín Cayo Cruz hotel "is part of the ongoing tourism development in this important destination, and the contemporary design is complemented by recreational, cultural, culinary, and sports offerings, always taking advantage of the beach's beauty and the island's defining values."
Already at the end of 2021 the chain Iberostar The Coral Level Esmeralda hotel also opened in Cayo Cruz.
The Cuban government continues to rely on tourism revenue, despite a significant decline in leisure industry activity due to the pandemic. Amid the island's economic crisis, tourism is one of the few sectors that maintains continued investment.
Visitors from Canada, France, Germany, and Russia are expected to arrive on this key north of Camagüey.

Cuba does not belong to Cubans.
It's been a fact for years.
More hotels and more hotels. If at least that income were reflected in the needs and quality of life of Cuban citizens, then hotels would be welcome, but the reality is very sad, as this country has become. I believe that the blockade is the only branch that is not affected by the hotel industry. The rest is garbage for the government.
