The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) uses Premium Processing to review Forms I-129 and I-140. These documents record the Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker and the Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker.
Users who choose this method to process their cases with USCIS will have 15 days until the process is resolved. If the service is not completed within the established period, USCIS will refund the amount charged and the process will continue normally.
The 15-day period begins when USCIS receives Form I-907, the Request for Premium Processing Service. Upon completion of its review of the case, the federal agency may notify you of an approval, denial, request for evidence, or fraud investigation. USCIS has an additional 15 days from the date of information collection to resolve these outstanding issues.
Citizens requesting Premium Processing do not need to file an Application to Extend or Change Nonimmigrant Status. This procedure is formalized through Form I-539, and the measure was adopted on June 13 of last year.

Premium Processing requests are processed in real time online or by email. For these requests, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) offers its website uscis.gov/i-907.
On January 30th, the USCIS announced another decision regarding the price adjustment for granting immigration and naturalization benefits. The agency covers its expenses with revenue from service fees.
Ninety-six percent of the USCIS budget is raised through operations, and 96% is allocated by the U.S. Congress. On April 4, the Premium Processing fee for the replacement of nonimmigrant status will be $1 USD.
