Banco Metropolitano SA announces a 10 percent year-end discount bonus

Banco Metropolitano SA has officially announced that it will apply a 10 percent discount on the total amount of all purchases and service payments at Cuban establishments and commercial offices, provided that customers carry out transactions using their magnetic cards through Point of Sale (POS) terminals.

This 10 percent discount bonus on purchases and service payments will apply on several selected days in December 2019 and on the days beginning in January next year.

The implementation of this promotion is part of the celebrations for the approaching end of the year and the arrival of a new anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

According to the official note from the Management of Banco Metropolitano SA, published by the digital news portal cubadebate, the aforementioned 10 percent bonus promotion will be activated on the following days: December 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, and 28 of this year and until January 2 of next year.

For the rest of the months of December and January, the permanent bonus will be 4 percent, as is normally established.

The magnetic cards that will receive this bonus from Banco Metropolitano SA, and which are the same ones that receive the usual 4 percent bonus, are all those that have been issued to the aforementioned entity's clients, both for the payment of salaries, incentives, retirements, pensions, and for savings accounts.

Inquiries about transactions made with magnetic cards, as well as verification of bonuses received, can be made through ATMs, but can also be done through the Mobile Banking service or through the Telebanca Call Center.

The permanent 4 percent bonus offer and the occasional offers temporarily offered by Banco Metropolitano (such as the current 10 percent discount promotion), as well as the permanent and temporary promotions also offered by Banco Popular de Ahorro and Banco de Crédito y Comercio de Cuba, all aim to expand and encourage bank customers to increasingly use magnetic cards.
