The current Adult Education subsystem in Cuba is comprised of three educational levels: Worker and Peasant Education (EOC), Worker and Peasant Secondary School (SOC), and the Worker and Peasant College (FOC), which offer both regular and face-to-face programs.
The Worker-Peasant College in Cuba constitutes, within the Adult Education subsystem, the upper secondary level for adults. The Worker-Peasant College provides its graduates with an academic level equivalent to twelfth grade.
In Cuba, since the approval of Resolution 387/15, the possibility of admission to the Worker-Peasant Faculty (FOC) has been established for all qualified workers interested in pursuing upper secondary education in Adult Education, whether or not they are employed, and even if they have not reached the minimum age limit previously established for enrollment (17 years).
Meanwhile, the same applies to other FOC applicants: they must be 17 years old and working in order to present a required letter from their workplace.
If you are self-employed, you can bring your ONAT card or a letter certifying your status.
Housewives also have the option to enroll; they only need the endorsement of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC).
The program's objectives include personal development leading to twelfth grade, facilitating the option for workers to continue their studies at university, and recruiting some young people who have dropped out of school and don't meet the requirements (being over 17, working, or homemaking). In this case, approval will be given to the provincial director of the organization.
The Worker-Peasant Faculty is a school that also welcomes individuals who, due to certain illnesses, are unable to attend the general education system.
Meetings in this study modality at the Worker-Peasant Faculty are usually held twice a week, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and extend over a period of four years.
The FOC teaching programs and methodological guidelines contain the subjects corresponding to the curriculum, distributed in Exact Sciences, Natural Sciences and Humanities.
Likewise, the FOC provides its students with broader preparation for their social life, as well as a foundation for technical qualifications and for admission to higher education, in accordance with established requirements.
In all profiles, graduates of the Worker-Farmer College are prepared to fully develop the skills contained in the study programs, with competencies equivalent to those of a high school level, that is, a twelfth grade.
Those interested in enrolling in this program should simply visit the FOC office in their municipality of residence. They will be provided with all the necessary information and advice.

They should create: an online path where they teach the courses to obtain the 12th grade.
I would like to study and work at the same time.
Hello, I have a question. I'd like to know if after completing the 12th grade FOC, I can pursue a university degree, either in the UCI or Medicine?
Hi !
He iscucsince the degree awarded by the Worker-Peasant Faculty does not constitute an educational level equivalent to the 12th grade of pre-university, which is not valid for presentation in immigration procedures as evidence of having completed the twelfth grade of school.
Could someone explain this doubt?
Thank you
