After several weeks offline, the appointment portal to request stamped visas from the Embassy of Panama in Cuba is available again since this morning.uneNovember 25, 2019.
A few days ago, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Panama, His Excellency Reinaldo E. Rivera E., arrived in Havana. He was received at José Martí Airport in Havana by Ambassador Andrés González Garrido, head of the Department of Immunities, Franchises, and Diplomatic Visas of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Upon his arrival, Rivera and González Garrido discussed Ambassador Rivera's future plans.
Since his arrival, Mr. Rivera has maintained arduous work sessions, and maintaining good relations with the Cuban government is one of his priorities. The people expect changes in immigration matters, and the reinstatement of the well-received "Tourist Cards" that were suspended by the previous administration.
While Stamped Visas are welcomed, the paperwork, lengthy process, and waiting times significantly affect Cuban travelers.
The dating portal is back online from this lunes 25 and is displayed without any change.

To be in Panama, it is mandatory to have a transit visa. My ticket is for the 23rd and I have not been able to keep the appointment. I am required to get off the plane.
We need to know if the visas issued for 2020 by the Panamanian embassy in Cuba are valid for 2021... due to the pandemic?
