Flights between Miami and Cuba confirmed for July despite rumors of restrictions

Despite growing rumors about a possible reduction in flights between the United States and Cuba, officials at José Martí International Airport in Havana confirmed that, so far, scheduled commercial and charter flights to and from Miami and other U.S. cities remain unchanged for the month of July.

La official confirmation It was issued through the Havana airport's customer service channels, in response to concerns from travelers and the media: "Good morning, as of now, scheduled flights to Miami remain unchanged," the entity reported. 

The clarification comes in a context marked by uncertainty, fueled by the return of Donald Trump to the US presidency, whose administration has resumed a hard line toward the Cuban government and is pushing for more restrictive immigration policies.

Flights between Miami and Havana

For now, in June 2025Charter flights from cities like Miami, Tampa, and Fort Myers have been operating normally, and this trend is expected to continue in July. The schedule at Havana's José Martí International Airport, for example, includes up to 12 flights in a single day (Friday) and an average of six to eight daily flights during the rest of the week.

As for commercial airlines, American Airlines maintains up to eight daily flights from Miami, while Delta and Southwest operate two daily flights to and from Miami and Tampa, respectively. United Airlines also continues operations from Houston onunes, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Despite speculation, there is no official notification indicating cancellation or reduction of flight frequencies for July. Everything indicates that travel to Cuba from the U.S. will continue to operate as usual in the short term.
