The Canadian company Blue Sky Mind launched the online platform called "Alimentos Cuba" in the province of Sancti Spíritus.

According to the information provided, people in Cuba, residents abroad who want to send food to their relatives on the island, and private and state-owned businesses (restaurants, cafes, MSMEs, etc.) could purchase food.
Another purpose of this Canadian platform is to enable Cuban companies to sell their products and earn money in US dollars to purchase supplies or raw materials abroad.

Félix Bernal Ravelo, the company's representative for the central region of Cuba, explained that Sancti Spíritus has "sufficient potential to take on this type of negotiation." So much so that it was the first to join, with the addition of the municipalities of Sancti Spíritus and Trinidad, where this program originated, according to the aforementioned media outlet.
"We will have a representation of the products in stores and also virtually, with their corresponding catalogs, which respond to two types of sales: large-scale sales aimed at restaurants and MSMEs, and retail sales, which can be associated with what we all know as product combos so that people from abroad can buy products for their relatives on the island," he added.
Combos, wholesale trade and more
The idea isn't new. In May 2024 (almost a year ago), the online platform Alimentos Cuba was launched as a wholesale product sales option for cafes and restaurants, created by the Canadian company Blue Sky Mind, at the International Food, Beverage, Packaging, and Food Technology Fair.
At that time, according to the website eventsIt was announced that Alimentos Cuba would include a network of warehouses throughout the country. "The plan is to have a warehouse in each province, stocking imported and domestic products made with imported raw materials," stated the Blue Sky Mind representative.
