The information referred to was shared by journalist Fernando Ravsberg, who wrote in the same social network: “CADECA offices inform their clients that they do not accept deposits over USD 5000. Does the State have so much foreign currency that it needs to limit its USD income?”

Ravsberg added: "There's no money for oil or gas, there's no hard currency to import medicines, ships carrying basic food items won't enter until they receive payment, the blockade is tightening, and CADECA has the luxury of not accepting more than $5000."

  4. In my case, I don't put in a cent if I'm not going to use it right away. I had a bad time with a USD account at Bandec, and then they didn't have USD to give me from my account.
