Through Resolution 311 of September 27, 2024, the Ministry of Finance and Prices confirmed the extension of the tariff benefit that exempts the payment of Customs Tax for the non-commercial import of several products until January 31 2025. Now the benefit has been extended.
This measure allows passengers to transport food, toiletries, medicines and medical supplies , the accompanied luggage, with no limit on import value.
In addition, through the 312 resolution, this benefit was extended to the import of electric plants by natural persons.

Given the persistence of the crisis and the need to guarantee access to basic products, the Cuban government decided extend these benefits until April 30 2025.

According to the Extraordinary Official Gazette No. 2 of January 29, 2025, Resolutions 27 and 28, issued by the Minister of Finance and Prices, ratify the continuity of these tariff benefits.
However, to comply with this regulation, products must be presented in packages separate from other luggage or shipments.
