However, the process is not that simple, as obtaining this stamped visa requires making an online appointment on the website of the Ministry of Immigration at the Panamanian Embassy in Havana, and this can be quite complicated. It is not enough to simply request an appointment; the following requirements must also be met: 

  1. Have a valid Cuban passport with a minimum of 6 months (upon expiration)
  2. Complete photocopy of the passport from the cover to page 32, organized so that each printed page contains 4 pages of the passport, and is only printed on one side
  3. Two copies of the sides containing the general passport information 
  4. Photocopy of the identity card on both sides, both organized on a single printed sheet
  5. Three 4×4 visa-sized photographs
  6. Proof of financial solvency with a minimum of USD 500 or more
  7. Complete the visa application form, which is submitted to the embassy
  8. Make payment for consular procedures amounting to USD 60.

*Those who have previously traveled with a tourist card must present copies of the passport pages that bear the entry stamp to Panama.

What are the requirements for renewing a stamped visa? 

  1. Have a valid Cuban passport with a minimum of 6 months (upon expiration).
  2. Photocopy of the sides containing the general information of the passport 
  3. Copy of the previous stamped visa 
  4. Complete the visa application form, which is submitted to the embassy. 
  5. Present the receipt of payment of 50 USD

How do I get an appointment for a first-time or renewed visa stamp?

In both cases, you must go to the "Online Migration" portal, which you can do from our own page, through the following link: https://www.directoriocubano.info/cita  and you will be automatically redirected to the embassy's official portal. 

Once inside the site if the yellow button is activated Fill out the form  You must click and a simple page will appear where you are asked for some information that you must have on hand, such as: Name and Surname, Identity Document (ID), Passport, Date of Birth, Gender, Religion and Reason for Visa (Tourism or other); as we can see in the following image.

It is important that when you click on Generate Appointment be patient, the page fills up quickly and the best thing you can do is wait, not click anywhere else and wait for your appointment to be generated.

Once the appointment is generated, the appointment receipt will appear. must be printed or saved as a PDF and bring on the day of the interview. In it you will find the personal information, appointment number, date and application requirements. 

To obtain a Renewal visa, the button must be active. Renewal Appointments  and the procedure is the same, only that a box to enter the number of the previous visa.

 What to do on the day of the appointment? 

Upon arrival on the day of your appointment, you must go to the Panamanian Embassy located at: 5th Street. 2207 Avenue, Corner of 24th Street. Miramar, Playa, Havana, CubaIt's recommended to arrive before 8.30:XNUMX a.m., when the call-in process begins, because there's a long line that can take hours. Despite the large crowds, the process is very quick and is usually completed before noon. Priority in the queue is given to people with disabilities and children.

Once you enter the embassy, ​​you will be given a form that you must fill out legibly and without erasures. An embassy official will help you answer any questions you may have. We suggest you download the form here , fill it out comfortably at home and bring it with you on the day of the interview as a guide, then you can transcribe the information onto the form they give you. It is important to write the visa type: Tourist, and for any other information that does not correspond to your application, simply write: “not applicable” (N/a).

Once the form is completed, you must line up to enter the interview with the official. This line is made in the order in which you finished filling out the document. The visa photos are glued on the table (there will be glue on the table). You must place them in the indicated position on the form, one on the left and two on the right.

For those of legal age: 

  1. Appointment voucher

  3. Visa application letter (Explanatory letter explaining why you want to visit Panama)

  5. Copy of identity card
  6. Bank statement certificate

For minors:

  6. Parental authorization valid for one year (Legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
  7. Birth certificate (Legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
  8. Bank statement certificate

Your documents will be checked by the official in charge of organizing the queue, and then you will move on to the interview. 

At the end of the interview, you will be given two payment orders: one for USD 2 and the other for USD 10, for a total of USD 50. This payment must be made at one of the BFI banks indicated on the order form. The deadline for making this payment is 60 business days to collect your passport.

    • Legalize your transcript and your degree at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX), remove a criminal record. Once in Panama, go to the university you are going to enroll in and pay the cost of the semester. They give you a document to take to customs and thus grant you your tourist visa.
