Changes to driver's license issuance in Florida are reported: special operation launched in Miami-Dade.
Miami-Dade County has initiated a new phase to facilitate the recuperasure of suspended driver's licenses.
This is Operation Green Light, in effect from April 21 to May 4, with which authorities seek to alleviate the economic impact of outstanding fines and allow residents to drive legally again.
County Clerk of Court and Comptroller Juan Fernández-Barquín explained that this measure is intended to help those "who want to do the right thing by paying their court obligations." During this period, collection fees will be waived, allowing for affordable payment plans.
The most common causesuneOffenses that lead to license suspension in Florida include unpaid traffic tickets, failure to appear for a citation, or accumulation of points.

Interested citizens can visit several county courthouses, some of which will be operating with extended hours to facilitate processing:

This operation seeks to benefit as many people in an irregular situation as possible, streamlining procedures and eliminating costs that often exacerbate accumulated debt.
